AFA proposes on January 18th, 2017 from 7 pm till 10 pm at the Maison du Barreau à Paris a training on the theme: «Cross-examination of witnesses: When the commow law comes to the civil-law». Marie Danis (August and Debouzy) and Caroline Duclercq (Altana), will lead this training with Pierre Duprey (Linklaters), and Peter Rosher (Pinsent Masons), Solicitor of England and Wales. They will share their experience of cross-examination as counsel and as arbitrator in particular in common law arbitrations. More information here.

AFA is pleased to invite its members to meet and discuss «The reform of contract law, what impact on arbitration?» with Professor Daniel COHEN, at its annual dinner on June 14th, 2016 in Paris. The collective book of the Fédération des Centres d’Arbitrage «L’arbitrage institutionnel en France» will be presented before the dinner, at 7:30 pm.

The Association Française d’Arbitrage (AFA) and the Institut d’Expertise, d’Arbitrage et de Médiation (IEAM) organize on April 12th, 2016 in the Grande Crypte in Paris a conference on the theme «The partnerships of the new economy after the reform of contracts». Under the scientific direction of Professor Jean-Philippe DOM, lawyers, professors, managers and legal directors of companies will exchange on the prevention of the new risks and the implementation of the alternative  dispute  settlement  methods, added value.
